The Colony Gastropub - HSR, Bangalore

HSR is tending to become the new pub hub and foodies favourite next to Koramangala and Indiranagar. Hanging out in Koramangala has been my daily routine. For a change, driving further we landed up in HSR. The Colony Gastropub in HSR is newly popular terrace bar and impressive graffiti arts - which has gained popularity among the foodies. So I decided to check in and explore this place.

The Colony Gastropub is located in the 27th main road, HSR with the honey seeking bear logo. There is a public parking space in front of the restaurant and also they provide valet parking for the cars. Parked the vehicle in front of the restaurant and walked into the lift. As I entered the 3rd floor, the beautiful graffiti arts on the walls caught my sight. They have a rooftop terrace bar on the 4th floor and decent indoor seating on the 3rd floor. Coming to the rooftop ambience - its magical for a night mood and party lovers. The wall graffiti, posters and quirky quotes will really bring a smile on your face. The vertical gardens, cosy lightings and wall art are a plus. Background music played is well chosen and adds up to the night.

The menu is perfect for Continental cuisine lovers. They have unique varieties from starters to deserts. They also have options in Modern Indian cuisine. They also serve beef and pork menu. The food presentation tempts any foodie to grab a bite here.

We started off with Greek Mushroom Saganaki - The fried cheese and tomato base went well with the mushrooms. This is one of their signature dishes and a must try for mushroom lovers. From non-veg starters, we ordered Peri Peri Chicken - The peri peri sauce and spices were prepared in-house and the chicken was tandoor grilled. So this dish is absolutely delicious and spicy. Then we got the Rosemary Paneer Tikka - Paneer marinated in cashew nuts was aptly grilled and tasty.

Lavender Pannacotta with Blueberry sauce - The Blueberry sauce is addicting and impressed me. This was more like a cheesecake topped with blueberry sauce. The combination was good as we ate.

Fruit punch and Virgin Mary - The mocktails were great too. Fruit punch was amazing.

The service is good and the staff is friendly. The service speed is pretty quick and the food is great. They will make sure the visit is comfortable.

Overall, The Colony Gastropub is one stop destination for food, drinks and ambience - be it a romantic night with rooftop ambience, a hangout with friends or a family get-together or even a craving for continental food, I'm right there to enjoy them.

The food trails of India are infinite and one among them is Sindhi cuisine. The Sindh, though not a part of modern India, but has its food roots widespread in India and beyond. Sindhi cuisine has numerous signature recipes curated long ago and the food culture is still favorite of many. This was my first introduction to Sindhi cuisine at Sindh Kitchenand I was curious & ready for a Sindhi palette.

Sindh Kitchen, Malleshwaram

Located in Malleshwaram, near to Mantri mall - A metro ride led me to this place. A lift to the 3rd floor opened up an ethnic ambiance of Sindh Kitchen. The well-arranged seatings with the windows curled up with curtains overlooking the streets of Malleshwaram. The aptly chosen ceiling lightings with subtle interiors and jaali partitions were pleasing to me. They do have a private dining area well maintained rustic look…
