10 Notables of Chennakeshava temple at Somanathapura

With amazing views of Shivanasamudra, I was already thrilled with this weekend drive :) The sun was high and my energy to explore more was high too! It was 3:30 pm when I was munching lunch at Mayura hotel. Though it was time for us to get back riding to Bangalore, I know my mind was crazy! Talakad (30km, 40mins) and Somanathapura (43km, 1hour) are nearby places to explore. The farther the ride, the more awesome it is! The navigation was on to Somanathapura! An hour of countryside bliss ride was worth it!

Melukote, Thonnur lake and Ranganathittu - A memorable day outing

Melukote was on my travel list on finding out that ancient temple architecture to many movie songs being shot there. It sounded a sublime place for a weekend outing - 150kms from Bengaluru. Also, It had been a long time I met my LG friends. This was so perfect to call out for a weekend drive. Dragged out my friends - Teju, Pradeep, Sud, Rocky for a hangout and there we go !!

Melukote is famous for Cheluvanarayanaswamy and Yoganarasimha temples. The place gained importance after the Srivaishnava reformer Ramanujacharya lived here for 14 years. Many devotees of Sri Vaishnava and Brahmin cult visit here to seek blessings frequently. We were excited to explore the temple architecture and the ancient remains.

The journey towards Melukote

So, the journey started on a Saturday morning. We were pleased with Pradeep's driving adventures ;) So we gave him a chance to drive this trip. On the other hand, we did not have any better option! That's a different story !! :D We had planned…

Pyramid Valley and Art of living - Rediscover Inner peace

The quieter you become, the more you hear. Yes!! Between all these adventurous journeys of life, there were invisible walls in my mind I wanted to crack. This drive towards inner peace needed a calm and spiritual place, off the city to embrace the incoming thoughts. Upon checking out, my friend suggested me two such places - Pyramid Valley and Art of living.
I mostly include my parents, when I visit religious and spiritual places. They do enjoy them. After visiting Omkar hills, we had the whole afternoon and evening with us. Just suggested my parents on visiting these two places. Kudos to their energy and we were set to drive to Pyramid Valley via Kanakapura road. Although Art of living is nearer, we scheduled it to the evening as there would be beautiful lightings and great view.

Pyramid Valley
Pyramid valley is the best meditation centre I have visited so far. It has been a centre for promoting pyramid energy, self-realization and spiritual science. Pyramid Valley is situated 30kms fro…
